6L worked on writing Limericks today.
A Limerick is a humorous poem that consists of 5 lines.
Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme.
Lines 3 and 4 rhyme.
Here is a selection from the students…
There once was a man called Dan
He used to live in a van
He was a fool
With a backyard pool
And then he got hit by a fan

He had a very small atom
That split into two
To go to the zoo
The atom then found a boy called Tom

Who though that he was quite hot
He jumped in the pool
He looked like a fool
Yet he happened to like it a lot.

And messed up his hair
