Lately some of the students have been keeping themselves entertained through wet-weather lunchtimes by setting up dominoes and knocking them down.

Here is their latest effort…

NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. Its origins can be traced to the emergence of Aboriginal groups in the 1920′s which sought to increase awareness in the wider community of the status and treatment of Indigenous Australians.

This week we will be learning about NAIDOC and why it is important for Australian society to recognise this special week.

Today the students worked in groups to complete this worksheet.
