Museum Visit

Today the students walked down to the local museum which is in the old school building.

The last class was held in that school in 1938. Since then the classes have all been held in our current school in Myrtleford.

The students got to experience a bit of what it would have been like for students going to school in the early 1900s. They got to see what the desks were like and the types of books the students would have used.

They then worked in pairs to complete a treasure hunt to find all the different items in the museum.

The students (and teachers) had a great time discovering more about the past in Myrtleford.

Celebration Night Concert

Last night was the Myrtleford P-5 Celebration Night.

All classes in P-5 presented an item to all  their parents and friends.

The grade 3/4 students performed the song, Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. They all sounded awesome.

Here are some photos and a clip of their performance…

Jordan Horse Riding

Jordan was so lucky to have been a part of such an amazing day at the Tan Hock Chong Region Games in Shepparton during September. Myrtleford RDA came in 3rd overall for the day, and also finished off with many ribbons won by all the children, Jordan got 2nd in the obstacle course, it was a brilliant day and all the kids left with HUGE smiles on their faces.

“At the RDA games I had fun riding the horses. The best thing was winning two ribbons on Ice (my horse)” By Jordan.
