Finishing at RHAC

It is with some sadness that I have to report that I am leaving Rouse Hill Anglican College to move interstate to Victoria to a little town called Bright.

I will be teaching at Myrtleford P-12 and I hope to be able to continue this blog with the new class that I will be teaching in 2014.

My family and I are very excited about the move but it is also sad to say goodbye to a school that I have been teaching in for the last 11 years.  I honestly thought I would be teaching at RHAC until they told me it was time to retire but sometimes God puts things on your heart and we feel it is the right thing to move.

I will miss RHAC and all the students I have taught over the years.  I will miss seeing them as I stand on bus duty.  One of the benefits of a K-12 school is that Junior School teachers get to still see students they have taught for many years.  I love that!  I hope to randomly drop in over the years and disrupt their Senior School classes so that I can see how they are and what they are doing.

Thanks for all the memories, RHAC

Year 6 Graduation Dinner

On Monday night (25th November) Year 6 students and many teachers enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Year 6 Graduation Dinner at Castle Hill RSL. The students looked amazing! It was so encouraging to see all the students mixing and enjoying each other’s company, dancing and celebrating the great journey which has been their Junior School experience. I am so proud of all of them and we all had a fantastic night.

During the night we announced the results of our fundraising efforts. The proceeds from the Year 6 Cake Stall and the Calendar Art initiative allowed us to donate just under $1000 to the Anglicare Bushfire Appeal, as well as $500 towards the Adopt-a-Camper scheme which allows a disadvantaged child to attend a Crusaders Camp.

Congratulations, Year 6 on an amazing night!

Here are some photos of these great looking kids…
